Get started with Doffly

From account to first metrics: everything you need to use Doffly, without the fluff.

1. Create your accountContinue with Google, that's it.
2. Add a serverGrab its ID and its token.
3. Run one commandThe agent installs and your metrics show up.
01

Create your account

Click “Get started” and continue with Google. The same button creates an account and signs you in: Doffly doesn't store your password.

On your first sign-in, your account is created automatically and you receive a welcome email.

02

Add a server

In the dashboard, add a server. Doffly generates its ID and a one-time agent token, which you'll use in the next step.

  • Copy the token right away and keep it private: it belongs to this server only.
  • Add as many servers as your plan allows: 1 (Free), 5 (Pro), 20 (Team) or 100 (Business).
03

Install the agent

You can install the agent manually by connecting to your Linux server over SSH and running the install command below:

To save time, you can also create the machine directly from the dashboard. Once it's created, the system generates a unique install command that already contains the machine's details (ID and token). Just copy and paste it on your server and run it once.

This way you never have to type the server ID and token by hand. The agent is then installed and started automatically. No ports to open.

Compatible with Linux x86_64 (amd64) and aarch64 (arm64). The curl and sha256sum tools must be available on the server.

04

Check that everything works

Go back to the dashboard: after a few moments, your server shows up online with its metrics.

  • Server status: online or offline.
  • CPU and memory usage.
  • Disk space and network activity.
05

Manage the agent

The agent runs as a service named doffly-agent. Here are the useful commands:

Check its status

Restart it

Stop it

Start it

Follow its logs live

The agent restarts on its own after a crash. If you stop it yourself, it stays stopped (and the server shows as offline) until you start it again.

06

Troubleshooting

Your server stays offline? Check, in order:

  • That the agent is running: sudo systemctl status doffly-agent.
  • Its logs: sudo journalctl -u doffly-agent -f.
  • That the server can reach the Internet over HTTPS (outbound connections allowed).
  • That the ID and token entered during installation are correct. If needed, run the installation again.

07

Uninstall the agent

To completely remove the agent from a server, run these commands:

This also deletes its configuration. The server will show as offline in the dashboard.
